Biology Department Scholarships
Please consider applying for the Biology Department scholarships. Below you will find documents describing the available awards, applications instructions and checklist, criteria, and application forms for graduate student awards.

Graduate Research Allocation Committee (GRAC) Grants
Applications are now being accepted for the Fall semester. Applications are due by Friday, October 4, 2024, at 11:59 PM.
Applications:
- Current biology graduate students may receive up to $400 in research funds and $150 in travel funds for use by the end of the Fall semester.
- Travel funds may be used for any sort of travel or professional development-related expense (e.g., flights, mileage for fieldwork, conference fees, rental cars, etc.).

UNM Alumni Association Scholarships
Thanks to the gifts from alumni, friends, and chapters, the UNM Alumni Association assists top UNM students with their academic expenses. The scholarships are available to full-time undergraduate students (enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours) and graduate students (enrolled in a minimum of six credit hours).
