2013 Oral and Poster Presentation Winners Presentation Lists
This year's Keynote Speaker was Scott Edwards, Department of Organismic and Evolutionary Biology, and Department of Ornithology, Museum of Comparative Zoology Labs, Harvard University, Cambridge, MA.
Dr. Edwards spoke on "Genomes, Feathers and Flight: Comparative Genomics of Birds and Other Reptiles.”
Event Schedule
Beginning in the morning on Thursday, April 4th (for Judges' Preview) through Research Day on Friday, April 5th, student posters were displayed in the hallways of Castetter Hall.
Our Thursday afternoon events this year were: an Open House; a community lecture, "How Global Environmental Change Will Affect Ecosystems in New Mexico," by Dr. Scott Collins, UNM Professor of Biology and Director of the Sevilleta Long Term Ecological Research program (3:30–4:30 p.m., 100 Castetter Hall); and a Silent Auction with refreshments (4:30–6:00 p.m., Castetter Hall basement).
