Biological Statistics I

Course Information

The Biological Statistics course is a new course for 2011, administered by the UNM Department of Biology. The course has two major goals: First, to familiarize students with the application and theoretical underpinning of the univariate statistical tests commonly used by biologists; Second, to give students an introduction to the R statistical language and computing platform. The course topics include probability distributions, hypothesis testing, experimental design, basic computer programming, function and script writing, and use of graphics in R.
