Welcome to my website at the University of New Mexico! Updated April 23, 2012

I am currently an Adjunct Professor of Biology at the University of New Mexico, in Albuquerque. My background includes computational topics, such as model development and data analysis, and applied topics, such as conservation, environmental protection, and ecosystem dynamics. Past research has focused on spatial dynamics in ecosystems using agent-based models, and studies in species invasions and climate variability. I have taught courses in Biological Statistics at UNM and University of Toronto.

Having worked for years at the macro-scale of biology, I am now in the process of transitioning to the molecular scale of genes and cellular systems. As I develop my skills in bioinformatics, genomics, and cellular processes, my goal is to apply my knowledge and experience in complex systems to problems in gene discovery, drug development, and disease dynamics.
