Santa Fe Community Convention Center

Santa Fe Community Convention Center

How to get there:

Albuquerque International Airport (ABQ) or as it is usually referred to, the Sunport, is the closest major airport to Santa Fe. Albuquerque is about 60 miles south of Santa Fe. The Sunport is a hub for Southwest airlines, which runs inexpensive flights from most cities within the US.

Santa Fe also has a small municipal airport (SAF).

All major car rental companies have counters at the Sunport.

Take the Train!

From Albuquerque International Airport, the most economical and carbon neutral transportation to Santa Fe is the New Mexico Rail Runner Express. Note that rail service on weekdays Albuquerque-Santa Fe is limited primarily to 4:30-9:30am and 4:30-8:30pm, and Santa Fe-Albuquerque from 5:30am-1:02pm and 4:15-9:00pm. Check the website for weekday and holiday schedules. The train fare should be $9 each way. The northernmost stop in the entire light rail system, the Santa Fe Depot Station, is located within a 10-15 minute walk to the Santa Fe Convention Center and nearby hotels.

From the Albuquerque Airport, a shuttle to the Albuquerque downtown rail station leaves from the lower level at the west end of the shuttle island. From downtown Albuquerque rail station, follow the signs that direct you to Bus Bay "E". The Airport Express Shuttle has a picture of the train on one side and Rail Runner Express on the other (for schedules see You can also catch a bus (Route 50) from the airport to Downtown Albuquerque. This bus route leaves every half hour between 7:00AM and 6:30PM on weekdays. A cab from the Albuquerque airport to the Albuquerque downtown depot should cost ~$20).
