Distinguished Professor James H. Brown was elected as Honoraria Member of the American Society of Mammalogists, the highest honor conferred by the oldest and largest professional society devoted to the study and preservation of mammals in the world. Among the many contributions noted by the Society was Jim's impressive record of mentoring over the years: 50 Ph.D. students and 23 post-doctoral fellows, many of whom have gone on to become luminaries in their own right.
