Pathway for analysis of new ordination of Spellman's data

Feb. 19

1) Vx picture, identify cdc mutations (45 - there are 64 of them, why aren't they all listed? Data or old nomenclature or Spellman error?)

2) Make EXCEL file of all cdc genes (45) At this point it would have been great if the spreadsheet or database would have automatically gone out and created links based on gene or gene name.

3) Printer driver isn't installed, so can't print Vx picture or Excel file - send them to my other computer by email

4) I would love to be able to sort the genes by the time in the cell cycle they have an effect. I think Spellman's paper has something like this - I have seen a Venn diagram somewhere of this.

5) I sort by gene name and go to SGD and search for cdc*

6) I then look at CDC1 the Global Gene Hunter and then get the information for cdc1 - the first gene on the list

7) I decide maybe a better way to do this is to figure out where each gene functions, G1, S, G2, or M. I then begin to worry about Cdc1, since it appears to have several functions - and I begin to wonder what is really known about it.

8) I go to my website to see if I have Spellman's paper there, but I don't. So I go to Grid-it - I then notice that GRID-IT has not been updated since 1999. I write to Ruth Alschul, who is supposed to update Grid-It to see if anyone is working on that page.

9) It's almost 7PM, so I decide to go home and try again tomorrow.
