Research Interests: I am interested in the role of crayfish in interrupting transmission of schistosomiasis in Kenya, mammalian schistosomes found in North America; and conservation-related aspects of host-parasite biology.

Past research in the control of snail-borne parasitic diseases, and the immunogentics of the short tailed opossum, Monodelphis domestica. Current research activities: The development of molecular diagnostic techniques to screen wild bird populations for introduced pathogens.
