Research Interests: I am interested in the role of crayfish in interrupting transmission of schistosomiasis in Kenya, mammalian schistosomes found in North America; and conservation-related aspects of host-parasite biology.

Visiting Research Officer. Kenya Medical Research Institute. Nairobi, Kenya. 1989-1990. Implemented research program on the biological control of snail-borne diseases, under the direction of Dr. E. S. Loker.

Research Assistant. University of New Mexico. 1991. Laboratory Research on the control of Snail-borne diseases through biological means.

Adjunct Assistant Professor. University of New Mexico. 1991-1999. Past research in the control of snail-borne parasitic diseases, and the immunogentics of the short tailed opossum, Monodelphis domestica. Current research activities: The development of molecular diagnostic techniques to screen wild bird populations for introduced pathogens.

Lecturer III. University of New Mexico. 2000-present. Continued research on the development of molecular diagnostics for wildlife diseases. Molecular fingerprinting of Galapagos Land Iguanas.
