Description of oocyst: Oocyst shape: ellipsoid; number of walls: 2; wall thickness: ~1.5; wall characteristics: rough outer surface and a darker, thinner inner layer; L x W: 27.3 x 23.6 (20-27 x 22-30); L/W ratio: 1.2 (1.1-1.3); M: absent; OR: absent; PG: absent. Distinctive features of oocyst: lack of M, OR, and PG.

Description of sporocysts and sporozoites: Sporocyst shape: ovoid; L x W: 14.2 x 10.2 (9-11 x 15-16); L/W ratio: 1.5 (1.5-1.7); SB: present as nipple-like body; SSB: present, small; PSB: absent; SR: present; SR characteristics: irregularly shaped, smoothly contoured residuum containing uniform granules; SP: elongate with large RB at 1 end and lying randomly in sporocyst. Distinctive features of sporocyst: small SSB and large SR.

Prevalence: 3 of 199 (1.5%).

Sporulation: Exogenous. Oocysts were stored in 2.5% (w/v) aqueous potassium dichromate solution at ambient temp. prior to examination.

Prepatent and patent periods: Unknown.

Site of infection: Unknown. Oocysts found in feces.
