Description of oocyst: Oocyst shape: spheroidal; number of walls: 2; wall thickness: ~1; wall characteristics: smooth; L x W: 2.4 (19-24); L/W ratio: 1.0; M: absent; OR: absent; PG: present; number of PGs: 1. Distinctive features of oocyst: none.

Description of sporocysts and sporozoite: Sporocyst shape: ovoidal with a smooth thin wall; L x W: 19.1 x 13.1 (18-21 x 12-14); L/W ratio: 1.5; SB: present, conspicuous; SSB: reported as absent, but photograph suggests it may be present; PSB: absent; SR: present; SR characteristics: a cluster of several spheroidal bodies surrounded by SZs; SZ: arranged around SR completely filling sporocyst; RB and N not described. Remarks:Matuschkas (1984 description of this as a distinct species is based on structural, host, and geographic differences from other previously described species in this genus.
