Site Description

This tower (34.425489 N, -105.861545 W) is located in the Southwestern Tablelands in the central part of NM on a private ranch approximately 25 km south of Willard, NM.   It is in a savanna consisting of widely dispersed (0.025 m-2) Juniperus monosperma in intermittently grazed grasslands dominated by C4 perennial grasses (mostly Bouteloua gracilis).    This site is at 1926m, has a mean annual temperature of 15.2 and mean annual precipitation of 361 m (1980-2003). 

The installation of this site was funded by NSF-EPSCoR. This tower has been operational since May 2007.
