Distinctive features of oocyst: thick, three-layered wall with distinctly striated middle layer.

Remarks: Eimeria berkinbaevi has been observed only by Abenov & Svanbaev (1979) and Abenov (1980). The size and general description are similar to E. lateralis, but the oocyst is described as having three wall layers, the middle wall is "striated," and a PG is lacking.
