BUGS Saturday (July 17th) Hiking Excursion!
Meet at Treesprings Trailhead at 9:30 a.m. sharp;
directions are below.

Bring: sunscreen, water (at least one liter),
a sack lunch, good shoes (no flip flops),
sunglasses, hat, camera, etc.
The trail is mildly difficult. Return by midday.
Ecologist Michael Brown will lead hike
and point out fun plant/animal
specimens along the way!

Take I-40 East from Albuquerque through Tijeras Canyon,
go north on NM 14 for about six miles,

and take the turn-off to the Crest Highway, NM 536.
Drive 5.6 miles up the Crest Highway
to the Tree Spring parking area on the left side of the road.
There is a sign for the Tree Spring trailhead and parking lot.
